Who we are

Astra for Law is an independent legal technology application operated by JDM Legal Tech. JDM Legal Tech is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

Information we collect

• Account information, including your name, email address and authentication identifiers.
• Workspace content you choose to submit, including prompts, matters, documents and work product.
• Product and security data, including session information, device and browser details, usage events, model usage, latency and error logs.
• Communications and support requests you send to us.

How we use information

• Provide, secure and improve the service and maintain your authenticated workspace.
• Process requests through configured AI and infrastructure providers.
• Measure reliability, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse and troubleshoot errors.
• Communicate about the service and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and AI processing

We use service providers for authentication, hosting, storage, analytics and AI inference. During the current testing stage, authenticated AI requests may be processed by OpenAI using the configured model. We disclose information to providers only as needed to deliver and protect the service, subject to their applicable terms and our configurations.

Legal workspace content

You control what you submit. Do not upload information you are not authorized to process. Astra for Law is not presently represented as a system of record, a legal research database, or a substitute for your professional confidentiality and supervision obligations.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and workspace information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet security and legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. You may request access, correction or deletion by contacting us. Some records may remain in backups or be retained where legally required.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including server-side authorization, encrypted transport and restricted access to provider credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Children and changes

The service is intended for legal professionals and is not directed to children under 18. We may update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date and, where appropriate, an additional notice.
